The Kuki People’s Alliance (KPA) has announced the results of its Central Committee election held on April 17, 2026, declaring seven members elected to key positions for the 2026–2030 term. The declaration was issued by Returning Officer Ch. Henkholun Khongsai from the party’s Central Headquarters. The newly elected committee assumes office with immediate effect and will hold office until 2030 or the next election, whichever is earlier.
Chinlunthang Manlun, Hon’ble MLA of Singngat Assembly Constituency, was elected President, while Kimneo Hangshing, Hon’ble MLA of Saikul Assembly Constituency, will serve as Vice President. Sominthang Doungel was elected General Secretary and NJ. Haoneo Baite as Joint Secretary. The other office bearers are Hemkholun Touthang as Secretary, Finance; Gracy Haokip as Treasurer; and Lamgouthang Chongloi as Information Secretary.
The election marks a fresh term for the KPA’s central leadership as the party continues its political activities. The declaration, bearing reference number KPA/CC/2026-30/01, was formally issued on Friday under the order of the Returning Officer for the KPA Central Committee Election 2026.
