Songpi, July 12, 2026: The FIFA World Cup 2026 is down to its final four, with France vs Spain and England vs Argentina confirmed as the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played on July 14 at AT&T Stadium, Dallas, Texas, USA, and the second on July 15 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with both matches kicking off at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Reigning champions Argentina were the last to qualify, beating Switzerland 3-1 after extra time at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. England also needed extra time to come from behind and defeat Norway 2-1 at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida, USA, while Spain edged Belgium 2-1 at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California, USA and France beat Morocco 2-0 at MetLife Stadium, New York, USA.
The Dallas clash will be a final before the final. Kylian Mbappe’s France, unbeaten in the tournament, will face Lamine Yamal’s European champions Spain at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium, in what is expected to be a tactical battle between two of the most complete squads.
For England, Atlanta offers history and revenge. A semi-final meeting with Argentina at Mercedes-Benz Stadium revives one of football’s greatest rivalries and gives England a chance to reach their first World Cup final since their triumph in 1966.
The winners of the two semi-finals will advance to the World Cup Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA. The losing semi-finalists will contest the third-place play-off on July 18 at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, USA.
